This year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este took place over the weekend of 23-35 May. Bathed in spring sunshine, the lawns of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este played host to the annual gathering of 50 of the world's finest classic and concept cars, and 35 motorbikes. These generalizations are broad, unfair and perhaps even counterproductive -- yet they're reinforced every time distracted driving leads to a preventable tragedy. That's why we were glad to see young drivers take action by creating a series of anti-distracted-driving public safety announcements for the Teens Drive Smart Video Contest.

Michael Ninic, Head of BMW Interior Design, dies at 53

Michael Ninic, who held the position of Head of BMW Car Interior Design for many years, unexpectedly died recently at the age of 53. Ninic, who joined the BMW Interior Design Team in 1987, was appointed head of the department in 1999. In 2001, the department also became responsible for material and color design.
